This document outlines the conditions governing access to and use of the Ottawa Casino service.

Ottawa Casino Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern access to and use of the Ottawa Casino online platform (the “service”). By registering an account or otherwise accessing or using the service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to the conditions set out in this document. If you do not accept these Terms of Use, you must not use the service.

Ottawa reserves the right to amend these Terms of Use at any time. Continued use of the service following notification of changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Users are responsible for reviewing this document periodically.

1. Eligibility and Age Requirements

Access to the service is restricted to individuals who meet all of the following conditions:

  • You must be of legal gambling age in your province or territory of residence. In Canada, the minimum legal age for gambling is 18 in Alberta, Manitoba, and Quebec, and 19 in most other provinces and territories. The service does not permit access to persons below the applicable minimum age.
  • You must be physically located in a jurisdiction where online gambling is permitted under applicable federal and provincial law at the time of each session.
  • You must not be registered on any self-exclusion list maintained by a provincial gaming authority or by Ottawa.
  • You must have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement under the laws of your jurisdiction.

Ottawa may request documentation to verify eligibility at any time. Failure to provide satisfactory verification may result in suspension or permanent closure of the account.

2. Account Registration and Responsibility

Each user may hold only one registered account. Duplicate accounts are prohibited and may result in the cancellation of all associated accounts and any pending transactions.

When registering, you are required to provide accurate, complete, and current information. Providing false or misleading information constitutes a breach of these Terms of Use.

You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. Ottawa is not liable for any loss or damage arising from unauthorized access to your account where you have failed to take reasonable steps to protect your credentials. Any suspected unauthorized access must be reported to Ottawa immediately.

Account access is personal and non-transferable. You may not allow any other person to use your account.

3. Prohibited Conduct

The following conduct is strictly prohibited when using the service:

  • Accessing the service from a jurisdiction where online gambling is not legally permitted.
  • Using automated software, bots, scripts, or any other tools to interact with the service in a manner not intended for human users.
  • Engaging in any form of fraud, collusion, or manipulation of game outcomes.
  • Attempting to exploit technical errors, system vulnerabilities, or software malfunctions.
  • Using the service for any purpose that violates applicable law, including money laundering or the financing of unlawful activity.
  • Harassing, threatening, or abusing other users or Ottawa staff through any communication channel.

Ottawa reserves the right to suspend or permanently close any account where prohibited conduct is identified and to report relevant information to applicable regulatory or law enforcement authorities.

4. Account Suspension and Closure

Ottawa may suspend or close an account without prior notice where:

  • There is reasonable suspicion of fraud, identity misrepresentation, or breach of these Terms of Use.
  • A regulatory authority or law enforcement body issues a relevant instruction.
  • The account holder is found to be ineligible under Section 1 of this document.
  • The account has been inactive for a period specified in Ottawa’s operational policies.

Where an account is closed due to a breach of these Terms of Use, Ottawa reserves the right to withhold funds pending investigation. Where no breach is established, any remaining eligible balance will be returned in accordance with applicable procedures.

Users may request voluntary account closure at any time by contacting Ottawa’s support team. Voluntary closure requests are processed within a reasonable timeframe.

5. Responsible Gambling and Self-Exclusion

Ottawa supports responsible gambling practices. Users may request the application of account-level controls, including deposit limits, session time limits, and temporary or permanent self-exclusion.

Self-exclusion requests are processed in accordance with Ottawa’s Responsible Gaming Policy. Once a self-exclusion is in effect, Ottawa will take reasonable steps to prevent access to the account for the duration of the exclusion period. Attempts to circumvent a self-exclusion by registering a new account constitute a breach of these Terms of Use.

Users experiencing difficulties related to gambling are encouraged to contact recognized support organizations operating in Canada.

6. Complaints and Dispute Resolution

If you have a complaint relating to your account or a transaction, you should first submit a formal complaint through Ottawa’s designated complaints process. Ottawa will acknowledge receipt and provide a response within a reasonable period.

Where a complaint cannot be resolved through Ottawa’s internal process, users may seek guidance from the applicable provincial gaming regulator. In Ontario, the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario provides a formal complaints pathway for internet gaming disputes. Users should be aware that regulatory complaint processes may take up to 90 days to reach a determination.

Ottawa’s decision on a complaint does not affect any statutory rights you may have under applicable Canadian law.

7. Privacy and Data Use

Ottawa collects and processes personal data in accordance with its Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms of Use by reference. By using the service, you consent to the collection, use, and storage of your personal information as described in that document.

Ottawa may be required to disclose personal information to regulatory authorities, law enforcement bodies, or other third parties where required by law or by a valid legal order.

8. Governing Law

These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of Canada and the applicable laws of the province or territory in which you are located. Any dispute arising under or in connection with these Terms of Use that is not resolved through the complaints process described in Section 6 is subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of the applicable Canadian province or territory.

9. Contact

For questions relating to these Terms of Use, account eligibility, or the complaints process, contact Ottawa Casino through the official support channels listed on the website. Include your registered account details and a clear description of your query to allow for an efficient response.
